Modern Slavery Policy

1. Introduction

Modern slavery is a serious crime and a violation of fundamental human rights. It includes slavery, servitude, forced and compulsory labour, child labour, and human trafficking. These forms of exploitation deprive individuals of their liberty for personal or commercial gain.

MadAppGang PTY LTD ("MadAppGang", "we", "us", or "our") adopts a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery. We are committed to acting with integrity and transparency in all business dealings and supply chain relationships to prevent all forms of modern slavery and human trafficking.

2. Scope

This policy applies to all persons working for or on behalf of MadAppGang in any capacity, including employees, directors, officers, contractors, consultants, suppliers, third-party representatives, interns, and agents.

3. Prohibited Practices

MadAppGang explicitly prohibits the following practices for all workers and agents:

  • Engaging in any form of forced labour, debt bondage, or human trafficking.
  • Engaging in child labour, defined as employment of individuals under the minimum legal working age (generally not less than 15 years).
  • Engaging in the worst forms of child labour, including hazardous work for persons under 18 that jeopardizes physical, mental, or moral well-being, or involves night shifts or excessive working hours.
  • Withholding identity or immigration documents from workers under any circumstance.
  • Using recruiters or employment agencies that do not comply with local labour laws.
  • Engaging in or enabling discrimination in hiring, employment, or termination on the basis of race, colour, sex, religion, political opinion, national extraction, age, disability, HIV/AIDS status, family responsibilities, nationality, sexual orientation, or trade union membership.
  • Charging workers recruitment or placement fees.
  • Procuring commercial sex acts during the course of contracts or business activity.

4. Supplier Due Diligence

We assess modern slavery risks when engaging new suppliers and annually thereafter. We:

  • Require all suppliers to complete a modern slavery risk assessment.
  • Expect suppliers to adhere to our standards and ensure compliance in their own supply chains.
  • Reserve the right to audit suppliers or require corrective action in the case of non-compliance.

5. Employment Conditions

MadAppGang ensures:

  • Employment contracts are provided in a language understood by the worker before the start of employment or relocation.
  • Workers can cancel their contracts at any time without financial penalty, subject to reasonable notice under applicable law.
  • Wages meet or exceed local legal minimums or prevailing industry standards.
  • Any housing provided complies with local housing and safety standards.

6. Rights and Freedoms

We respect the right of all employees to:

  • Form and join trade unions of their choice.
  • Bargain collectively and engage in peaceful assembly, in accordance with local law.

7. Training and Awareness

We provide training to relevant staff on modern slavery risks and compliance. Suppliers are encouraged to implement similar training and to uphold the same ethical standards.

8. Reporting and Whistleblowing

Employees, contractors, and suppliers are encouraged to report concerns regarding modern slavery or unethical practices. We ensure:
